Strata Community Association (Qld) is governed by a member-elected Board of Directors comprising ten members and an independent Director, supported by SCA (Qld) staff.

MaxSoft Group

James Nickless specialises in all aspects of Strata Law and is a valued member of the MaxSoft team. James has served on the Legislation and Policy Committee of SCA (Qld) since 2013. James is passionate about advancing the Strata Industry and regularly presents seminars on various aspects of Strata Law and professional development to clients, industry groups and Universities.

TCM Strata

Kelly is the Managing Director of TCM Strata, TCM Rentals, TCM Sales and Kingscliff Strata.  She is a registered valuer in NSW and Qld, and holds a full real estate license.  After commencing in the strata industry in 1997, she worked in the property industry in Melbourne, Sydney, the UK and Europe before returning to her family companies in 2003.  Kelly is a past board member of SCA (Qld) (formerly CTIQ) .

Kelly is located in regional Queensland (Cairns) and is therefore passionate about lobbying on behalf of regional strata stakeholders.

PICA Group

Jonathan Flannery is General Manager, Strata Services Queensland for the PICA Group, where he oversees the Queensland operations across 11 branches from Port Douglas to Coolangatta with over 58,000 body corporate lots under management across more than 3000 strata communities and with a team of 160 strata experts. He is Diploma qualified in management and has over 20 years’ experience across the property, hospitality and executive management fields within Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia. A driver of organisational change, focused towards building strong connections, growing a high performing team and enhancing community living.


Grant is the managing partner of Archers the Strata Professionals Sunshine Coast office and heads up the company’s marketing and public relations programs across QLD. He is also the founding director of Archers community newsletter and education program, Smart Strata. Formerly a management rights proprietor prior to transitioning to strata management in 2006 and joining SCA (QLD), Grant has since regularly presented on best practice along with serving on the education, legislative and most recently the professional standards committees before joining the Board in 2019.

Pinnacle Strata

Duncan Lee has over 20 years' experience in the strata management industry and holds a Bachelor of Business with a specialisation in Accounting. His financial and managerial skills have been honed through positions in ASX listed companies. In addition to over 20 years’ experience in the strata management industry, including his current role as the Owner and Managing Director of Pinnacle Strata Pty Ltd, Duncan has served six (6) years on the SCA (QLD) Legislation Committee and is currently a member of the SCA (QLD) Education Committee. 

Capitol Body Corporate Administration

Ian is a joint principal of Capitol Body Corporate and a director of Delrey Pacific Pty Ltd with 19 years' experience of practising as a Solicitor. Ian has been a member of SCA (Qld) since he started as a body corporate manager in 1998, a Board Member since 2004, and Secretary since 2010.

Grace Lawyers

Jason is a Partner of Grace Lawyers and acts for strata managers, bodies corporate and integrated resorts across Queensland.  He has been a member of SCA (Qld) since 2011 and of its Legislation Committee since 2013, and has recently been appointed to the Independent Review Panel of the Australian Building Management Code.  In 2015 he listed as a finalist in the Dispute Resolution category of the Lawyers Weekly 30 under 30, an awards program that identifies the best young lawyers in Australia.  He was the only lawyer listed that specialises in strata law.

Independent Director

Nicky was the Development Manager for EDQ and was responsible for overseeing several regional projects across Queensland. After several years working as a Project Director for Ray White, Nicky began her government career and was a public service employee for nearly ten years. As the secretary of her body corporate committee, she is well aware of the issues faced by strata schemes and their residents and looks forward to using her skills and experience to help promote the industry. 

Noosa District Body Corporate Management

Andrew has a retail background with over 30 years experience commencing with Safeway in Victoria in 1972 and becoming CEO for Woolworths NZ Ltd in 1997 and Deputy Director heading up Westfields NZ Shopping Centres in 2002. He was part of the successful Life Pharmacy (Green Cross Health) public listing and represented Gresham Rabo Private Equity interests in Hansells NZ. He was a Founder of Kids Help Line in NZ and a board member of Barnardos NZ. In 2015 he and his wife Marianne acquired Noosa District Body Corporate Management.

Strata Community Insurance

Con has specialised in the area of Bodies Corporate insurance for over 17 years. He currently heads up the Queensland operation and is also responsible for National Partnerships and Distribution for Strata Community Insurance.

With 36 years of experience within the insurance sector, he has an enviable track record built on in-depth market knowledge gained through a number of senior roles held in claims, sales, and underwriting, at companies such as FAI, Body Corporate Brokers & CHU. 

Ernst Body Corporate Management

Tyson is experienced and well connected in the strata community. His exceptional organisational, time management and diplomacy skills, and strong work ethic has earned him a solid reputation in the industry. As Regional Manager for Ernst Body Corporate Management Gold Coast, he is responsible for leading a team of dedicated Community Managers and Assistants to best service a large and varied portfolio of bodies corporate. On top of his operation and management responsibilities and keeping his finger on the pulse, Tyson continues to manage a portfolio of large high-rise communities.
