About Us
SCAQ is the peak organisation for all matters related to the body corporate, strata and community title sector in Queensland.
Strata Community Association (Qld)
Initially formed in 1984 as the Body Corporate Managers Institute of Queensland, we became the Strata Community Association Qld in 2002.
Over the years, SCAQ has grown from a volunteer-run organisation with six members to a professional organisation representing more than 1200 individuals and businesses in one of the fastest growing, most influential sectors across the economy.
SCAQ members are professional body corporate managers and professional service providers. We advocate on behalf of the sector for important changes to legislation and help members comply with existing legislation. SCAQ also provides career development, training and professional accreditation for the strata industry.

Our community generates more than $1.75 billion annually in economic activity, through professional services and maintenance, supporting more than 62,000 direct and indirect jobs for Queenslanders.

Become an SCAQ Member
Membership of SCAQ is open to anyone with an interest in strata schemes, including body corporate managers and administrative staff, and service providers to the strata industry. SCAQ provides members with education, accreditation, advice and advocacy for the complex laws that govern strata schemes. SCAQ members also have access to our calendar of networking and educational events throughout the year.
