Important Registration Notice – Mass disconnection on Friday 25 February 2022

With the nbn™ network being fully built and operational** and the approaching completion of mass disconnection from the legacy copper network, nbn will be closing the Fire and Lift register on Friday 25th February 2022.
The registration process for monitored fire alarms is an important government initiative to help support the migration from most existing networks to the nbn™ network or alternative telecommunications networks and to minimise service disruption. The rollout involves new technologies with which some existing fire alarms may not be compatible.
It has been identified that there are more than 10,000 properties across Australia that have not yet been migrated. If an emergency lift phone or monitored alarm panel that you are managing is currently connected to the legacy copper network, you will need to organise the migration of the existing equipment to an alternative technology.
Please contact your equipment provider and phone and internet provider to check with your properties managed to initiate the migration or for further information.
